1. Mercedes an Honorable Name
If you didn’t know already, the name ‘Mercedes’ is actually a women’s name used in the European region, specifically in Spain. It was actually a name of the daughter of Emil Jellinek who was an Australian diplomat and also happened to be a racing driver for Daimler Benz. Jellinek would often get the ‘Mercedes’ painted on his car during the races, which made the car famous. The company then decided to name the car brand as ‘Mercedes-Benz’ to honor their racing legend.
2. Owned by Daimler AG

4. It was the First Car Company to Mass Produce Diesel Engine Cars
