How to Use EV Charging Locations

If you’re driving up from Caledon or Orangeville, here are some tips for using the Brampton charging stations.

  • Anyone with a plug-in electric vehicle may use the charging stations to top off their battery.
  • If a driver uses the charging station spot as a parking spot, they are subject to a $125 fine.
  • All city charging stations are level-2, which means they will typically charge your car in 3 to 6 hours.
  • Electric car charging stations are free to use, but normal parking fees apply for pay parking lots.
  • The charging station will be indicated by clear signage and an green electric car symbol painted on the pavement.
