  1. Carefully choose your parking places.  The more bumper scratches, dings, and faded plastics you have, the more negative impact there will be on your car’s resale value.  That’s why it is wise to choose parking places away from other cars.  Empty spots in the far reaches of parking lots are also smart choices, even if your passengers protest.  Don’t park in spots that expose your vehicle to passing or turning vehicles, either.  Try to park in a garage to protect it from the harsh effects of sun and ice, too.
