LondonWate Adds Seven Mercedes-Benz Arocs to Fleet

November 1st, 2015 by

LondonWaste, a municipal solid waste company, has decided that it needed to add seven Mercedes-Benz Arocs to assist in its operations. The eight-wheeler will be used to haul 16.5 tons of recycled materials, such as wood, cardboard, paper, plastics, and green waste. The Arocs are equipped with hook-loading equipment and will be assisting a recycling center at the Edmonton EcoPark. Under the hood of these massive trucks is a straight-six engine mated with a Mercedes PowerShift automated transmission to deliver 394 horsepower. Additionally, the Arocs are fitted with Mercedes-Benz FleetBoard telematics system to collect vital information of the trucks. A LondonWaste representative acclaimed the maneuverability and convenient dashboard design of the eight-wheeler. Mercedes-Benz Brampton is fairly confident that you will not be driving an Arocs through the streets of Brampton, but we do have incredible vehicles that you can soon be behind the wheel of.
