Mercedes-Benz Canada Announces February Sales Numbers
Mercedes-Benz Canada announced the sales of 3,950 units in February, a slight reduction (-0.4%) over February 2017 results. A total of 3,501 passenger cars and luxury light trucks were delivered that month, representing a 5.2% growth over February of 2018. Year-to-date, there was a 1.4% decrease in the number of units retailed. A small decline in passenger car sales was also reported, with 1,726 vehicles delivered for a 6.7% reduction over the same period last year.
The C-Class Coupe was up by an impressive 35.2%. The E-Class portfolio and the S-Class Sedan also showed gains of 51.8% and 37.3% respectively. Mercedes CA just keeps growing!
The number of luxury light trucks retailed in February grew by 20.1% month-over-month. A total of 1,775 units were sold. The number of units retailed in the segment year-over-year was 3,424 or +8.8%. The GLE and GLC also continued to generate strong sales that grew by 35.3% and 16.8% respectively.
G-Class Wagon sales were strong and the Mercedes-Benz Vans division recorded sales of 436 units. The Pre-Owned division reported its best February sales ever, with 1,108 units delivered and 1.8% growth over last year.
