Mercedes-Benz Diesel Engines May Soon Phase Out of Lineup

Mercedes-Benz sees a real future with hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles. Even with being one of the pioneers of diesel engines within passenger vehicles, the company believes that its manufacturing of diesel power vehicles will eventually phase out, replacing it will be hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles. A Mercedes-Benz representative stated that the cost of diesel engines are high and its components are quite complex. Hybrids will also keep up with the government regulations around the world in regards to a vehicle’s emissions. The company representative also gave us sneak peak of a high-tech, active chassis system being developed for future vehicles. It is possible that the technology will be featured with the next-generation GLE. Mercedes-Benz Brampton is optimistic about Mercedes-Benz’s path towards the future.
