Mercedes-Benz Displays Concept Vehicle
Mercedes-Benz recently revealed its Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 coupe concept at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Mercedes-Benz has luxurious details like the extra long hood with an extended tail and the 24-inch wheels. The Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 coupe has a chrome grille and the classic Mercedes-Benz hood ornament that adds to the charm of the vehicle. The concept vehicle is six metres in length, which is why the vehicle is called the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 coupe.
The interior of the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 coupe concept is just as extreme and extravagant as the exterior. The vehicle has button-tufted seats and rose-gold accents throughout the cabin. The Maybach 6 also has an open-pore wood floor. The windshield of the vehicle is designed to be a heads-up display. Another large long screen is placed along the dashboard and continues to the doors to create one long display. The functions of the vehicle would be used through gesture controls. The Maybach 6 would also feature autonomous abilities.
The Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 coupe concept is powered by four electric motors that are located by each wheel. The concept also has an 80 kWh battery pack that produces a total 738 horsepower. This allows the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than four seconds. Mercedes-Benz says the concept car would be able to travel up to 321 kilometers on one charge.
Concept cars like the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 coupe push car companies to engineer new technology that can be applied to their latest models in production.
