Mercedes-Benz Displays Latest Technologies at CES
When it comes to automotive technology, the undisputed champion is German car maker Mercedes-Benz. Over the years, Mercedes-Benz has been trying to simplify our modern contemporary lifestyles by creating intelligent technologies. The car maker brought these technologies to the Consumer Electronics Show Asia 2016 Mercedes-Benz Media Tec-Day. The show featured the brand’s latest mobility concepts and pioneering technologies as well as two futuristic models.
At the show, Mercedes-Benz clearly displayed that it functions with one foot in the future. It unveiled the Concept Intelligent Aerodynamic Automobile feature which combines aesthetics and function, exemplifying the evolution of fundamental technology in the automotive industry. It has been branded a “digital transformer” that comes with a digitalized design.
The Concept IAA is mostly designed with digital prototyping to focus on conceptual designing, manufacturing, and engineering. It is essentially two cars in one – a stylishly designed four-door coupe that can convert itself into a model that exhibits superior aerodynamics. Mercedes’ concept offers you a window displaying future designs as well as marks a new beginning for the evolution of intelligent technologies in the automobile industry.
Mercedes-Benz also unveiled its all-new long wheelbase E-Class L, which has been designed to deliver a superior level of connectivity and comes fitted with a wide range of cutting-edge technologies, which include Drive Pilot that automatically enables the vehicle to maintain a distance from the vehicles in front of it and also allows it to follow a vehicle ahead of it even at speeds of up to 210 kmph, while automatically braking and changing lanes.
