Mercedes-Benz Testing Connect Me

January 29th, 2016 by

Mercedes-Benz continues to push testing of its Connect Me system in Germany, in preparation for its launch in Germany, Spain and the Netherlands this upcoming Spring. The automaker plans to launch it in select markets to work out all the kinks before launching it overseas. Connect Me allows customers to remotely check the fuel of their car, track mileage for expense reports or even locate their missing vehicle. Christoph Hartung, Head of Connected Car at Mercedes-Benz, said: “There is demand in the market. We all see that. We take security and privacy very, very seriously; so our dongle is Mercedes-proven. It stands up to the same standards as all the other products that we are offering, and we know that not all dongles do that.”
