Mercedes-Benz to Offer New Compact Entry Model Lineup
The Mercedes-Benz brand announced this summer that they were working on growing their compact entry model lineup. The A-Class Sedan is set to launch at the end of this year and will join the A-Class hatchback. The new model will lead its segment in rear headroom and will feature an efficient engine, will meet the highest safety regulations and MBUX, Mercedes-Benz User Experience Infotainment System.
The new model was designed and developed in Sindelfingen, Germany; however, it will be built in Aguascalientes, Mexico. Britta Seeger, Member of the Board of Management of Daimler AG, Marketing and Sales said: “Things at Mercedes-Benz are happening quickly with regard to the new family of compacts. In response to the wishes of many customers, for the first time we are now offering the A-Class as a sedan. Anyone looking for a compact, sporty sedan now has a new attractive option. It will enable us to win new customers for Mercedes-Benz.”
Features and Technology
Although the entry-level model is already equipped with a number of features and technology, Mercedes-Benz doesn’t plan on stopping there. In fact, the manufacturer is planning on equipping the A-Class Sedan with standard features including a panoramic sunroof, MBUX infotainment system with touchscreen and the latest Mercedes-Benz driving assistance systems. The new car will sit on 17-to-18 inch wheels. The front end of the vehicle is very progressive, with a low hood and slim LED headlamps. The futuristic elements on the exterior of the new vehicle match the KEYLESS-GO with HANDS FREE ACCESS that will be available on this model.
