The Design of the 2016 Mercedes Benz GLS Class

May 2nd, 2016 by

Mercedes-Benz claims that its GLS line is superior to other SUVs thanks to its rich features. There are very few who can debate this fact. The GLS line has 3 rows of seats that can accommodate up to 7 occupants.  The vehicle’s interiors are made of wood and leather. The vehicle also has an air ionization system that increases its appeal.

The GLS450 features a twin-turbocharged V-6 engine that delivers 362 horspower, while the GLS550 is powered by a twin-turbocharged V-8 engine that produces 449 horsepower. If you are looking for an economy model, the GLS350d is powered by a V-6 diesel 255-horsepower engine. All these models come with an all- wheel drive model with a 9-speed automatic transmission. Its safety features include brake assist, collision-prevention assist and cross-wind assist system.

For several years, the GL from the house of Mercedes-Benz has been setting innumerable standards among the seven-passenger and luxury SUV segment, similar to what the S-Class vehicles have done for the Sedans.

In 2016, the vehicle has been brought back as the all-new GLS. There have been several improvements that have been presented in new and fresh style.

Some of them include:-

  • A new name for a new market leader in its segment
  • All- LED lighting system for both rear and front
  • New bold wheels measuring between 19 inches to 22 inches
  • Luxury ride for seven occupants
  • Available in 4 different models namely GL63 AMG, GL550, GL450, GL350 Blutec
  • Sunroof
  • Automatic headlights
  • Automatic wipers
  • Power liftgate
  • Power rear quarter windows
  • Rear privacy glass
  • Roof rails
