The all-new S-Class Cabriolet

Dietmar Exler revealed his top five favorite drive route destinations, which have enormous scenic beauty, serenity and loads of adventure strewn across them.

Second in line is a pick that has more of an emotional significance, since it falls across the hometown of Exler’s wife. It is the route on the Highway 31 across Michigan, from the Traverse City up to Mackinaw City. Running along the Grand Traverse Bay and stretching up to the northern edge of the Lower Peninsula of Michigan, the trail passes through a number of picturesque waterways and magnificent lakes, which enhance the ultimate drive experience of the S550 Cabriolet.

Next in line, is the Overseas Highway, in the state of Florida, stretching across Homestead up to Key Largo. The 30 mile stretch of the highway connects the Key Largo to the mainland, and trails along the Southern Glades eastern border. The mesmerizing sunsets, and the feeling of being surrounded by the ocean on both sides lend an exotic appeal to the drive route.

Similar to the second pick, the fourth drive route too has a lot of sentimental value for Exler, since it is fondly reminiscent of his childhood. The Adriatic Highway that runs along the coastline of Croatia, promises an unforgettable drive experience, with a spectacular view of a hundred islands off the shore.

The last but not the least, Exler’s final favorite drive route is located in his homeland Austria. The trail, referred to as the Route B145 that stretches across Gmunden up to Obertraun, skirts along the Traunsee Lake.
