Benz Hybrid

Does the idea of an energy saving hybrid vehicle intrigue you?  Do you wish you knew more about hybrid options?  Does Mercedes-Benz even have a hybrid?  You bet.

At #MercedesBenzBrampton, we’re put together some information to help you understand what a hybrid is, and why it might make sense for you to consider buying one. It’s important to know that  the cost of a hybrid vehicle is usually more than a gasoline-powered one—up to 20% more, in fact. However, operating costs are usually less.  Some models are eligible for federal and state tax credits that lower the purchase cost.
Regular hybrids powered by a gasoline engine and a battery recharged entirely by the car do get significantly better gas mileage than conventional gasoline-powered engines. Most hybrids can get anywhere from 40-50 mpg. Plug-in hybrids come with larger batteries that can be recharged either by the car or by external sources. All-electric vehicles have the highest price tag, but are also the least expensive to operate. The cruising range of most electric vehicle ranges from 70 miles to 260 miles.

The S400 Hybrid from Mercedes-Benz is the first production hybrid vehicle in the world to be equipped with the innovative lithium-ion high voltage battery.  Ther energy density of the new battery is actually higher than that of a conventional nickel-metal hybrid battery.  It also gets greater electrical efficiency with more compact dimensions and lower eight.  This give you a spacious interior and even the roomy trunk dimensions of the luxury Mercedes-Benz S-Class. Fuel consumption ranges from 7.9-11.21/100km.
You’ll also be happy to know that there will be a Mercedes-Benz luxury hybrid mini-SUV available in 2018, which means you’ll be able to pre-order one before you know it.  In all likelihood, it will quality for a green vehicle rebate in Ontario, and the rebate range should be between $3,000-$13,000.

Better warranties are usually offered on hybrids, with longer-term coverage on hybrid-specific parts.  This is another positive when considering a hybrid.
