The A-Class Sedan from Mercedes-Benz is a Sight to Behold

When most people talk about compact cars they envision tiny boxes driving on the highway akin to insects crawling across a sand dune, but with the A-Class Sedan from Mercedes-Benz, a new form factor and class has been added to the compact car roster.

It will be gracing the roads and streets of Canada really soon, on the other hand, it has already been released in Brooklyn in New York in July of 2018.

Design

The compact internal design compliments the external body which proves that Mercedes Benz has done something special again. With the long low hood as well as the pronounced shoulders and intense contours, the A-Class Sedan earns its prefix and then some.

The inside is truly a sight to behold which dispenses with the old notion of the dashboard and creates a seamless design that incorporates the steering, stereo system and control center within the dashboard from side to side.

Delving a little deeper into the design, you’ll find LED high-performance headlamps and taillamps as well as an option to hook up MULTIBEAM LED headlamps including Sport and Night Packages as well.

There’s also an option for ambient lighting in 64 colors and a standard panoramic sunroof, for those long drives and great sunsets on the open road.

User Experience

The user experience of the Mercedes Benz A-Class Sedan is something to behold. The software and the hardware couple together to give you a seamless experience; with a touchscreen that adjusts to anything that you may need from the program currently running.

You can control the A-Class Sedan through a variety of options including voice control, which has been updated to use conversational languages so that you can be much more flexible with what you ask of it.

Imagine going to a restaurant or a sports arena that you’ve never been to before; now you’ll be able to casually ask for directions and talk to your car like you’re talking to a friend. It’s like having a friend along for the ride.

Specifications

Let’s talk specifications. For the hardcore car enthusiasts out there, you’ll want to know exactly how much power this baby’s packing. And there’s plenty to unpack here. There’s a 2.0 L inline 4-turbocharged engine capable of giving you 188 horsepower, and 221 lb-ft of torque.

To handle that raw power you are provided with a 7-speed dual clutch transmission system with a 4MATIC variant.

You’ll also have a great enhanced active break assist to help you take control of things when you’ve gone a little too far a little too fast.

And of course, for you ecosystem enthusiasts out there, the A-Class Sedan is compatible with Apple CarPlay services and Android Auto Services. It also comes with the Standard Mercedes connect services as well.

All in all, this compact car puts all this raw power in the hands of the driver.

No wonder they’re calling it a “Compact revolution”.
